The ICAS Foundation Welcomes New Talent to Drive Continued Growth and Innovation

As the ICAS Foundation continues to expand its impact, the organisation is thrilled to announce the addition of several new team members who bring a wealth of experience and passion to its mission. With backgrounds spanning charity leadership, data management, marketing, communications, and healthcare administration, these new hires are set to enhance the Foundation's efforts and foster innovation.

Nadia

Nadia Salo joined the ICAS Foundation in April 2024 as Foundation Administrator. With a robust background in healthcare administration, Nadia has previously worked across various NHS Lothian directorates, including both adult and children’s services. Her most recent role in Cardiology saw her managing referrals, waiting lists, and coordinating elective procedures. Nadia is deeply committed to the health and well-being of people across all age groups and is excited to contribute to the ICAS Foundation’s mission  of supporting academically talented young people.

Stew

Stew Cowan took on the role of Data and Reporting Manager in July 2024 and brings over seven years of experience in the charity sector, focusing on fundraising and data management. Having worked with prominent Scottish institutions such as the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland, Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, and National Museums Scotland, Stew has honed his expertise in CRM systems and data-driven decision-making. His science background, coupled with a master's in public engagement and a Certificate in Fundraising, positions him to drive efficiency and innovation at the ICAS Foundation.

Greg 1

Greg Clark joined the team as Marketing and Communications Manager in July 2024, bringing with him a decade of experience in the Further and Higher Education sectors. Greg is passionate about widening access to education and creating opportunities for those from disadvantaged backgrounds. His extensive experience in marketing and communications, combined with his role as a Non-Executive Director at Helm Training, equips him to elevate the ICAS Foundation’s reach and impact.

Chris

Chris O’Sullivan completes the new-look team, joining in August 2024 as Head of Income and Engagement. A strategic leader with 20 years of experience in the voluntary sector, Chris has led teams across Scotland and the UK, working with organisations like Cancer Support Scotland, MND Scotland, and the Mental Health Foundation. His dedication to social justice and widening access to education aligns perfectly with the ICAS Foundation’s mission.

ICAS Foundation Director Sanjay Singh said “As the ICAS Foundation continues to grow, we are delighted to welcome Nadia, Stew, Greg, and Chris to the team.  These talented individuals bring invaluable skills and a deep passion for their work.

Together with Head of Volunteering and Programmes Amy Drysdale and myself we will be working hard to drive the Foundation’s initiatives forward, making a significant impact on the lives of the young people on our Nurturing Future Leaders Programme.

It really is an exciting time for the ICAS Foundation, with lots of opportunities for innovation, growth, and a genuine chance to maximise positive change in the lives of the young people we support.”
